Job summary

BMW TechWorks India Private Limited seeks an automotive steering systems engineer to drive design and integration during post-production, ensuring robust packaging and readiness for series production. You will lead STEERING-related changes, coordinate with interfaces, and manage data per BMW standards.

Proficiency in CATIA V5 (GSD, Part Design, Drafting, Digital Mockup) and PRISMA data handling is required, with strong technical and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have strong technical skills in automotive steering systems.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 with Generative Shape Design, Part Design, Drafting and Digital Mockup.
• Familiar with PRISMA for publication and data management.
• Experience with manufacturing methods for Steering System Parts.
• Ability to maintain data according to BMW standards.

Job description

• Leading Development during the phase of post-production, Change Management, Release management, target management, Cost reduction, Steering changes etc.
• Experience in virtual vehicle development and understanding of mechanical relationships of Steering System.
• Knowledge of common manufacturing methods for Steering System Parts.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate independently with interface partners
• Ability to manage and maintain data and documentation in accordance with BMW standards
• Must have technical skills.
• Very good skills in CATIA V5, especially in Generative Shape Design, Part Design, Drafting, and Digital Mockup
• Good knowledge of the PRISMA database for publication and data management
• Experience with collision checks and integration of special characteristics, tolerances, and component identification in drawings.
• Good Technical skills
• Familiarity with different manufacturing technologies Steering System Parts.
• Understanding of fixation parts and assembly processes
