Job summary

BMW TechWorks India Private Limited in Pune calls for an experienced CAD engineer to lead seating system components from concept to series release, using CATIA V5. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, analyze problems, and deliver manufacturable solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive seating parts, knowledge of design release processes, and familiarity with BMW standards (PRISMA, NextOne, PQM, IRAM). Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years in automotive Seating System parts or CAD technician role.
• Experience with problem analysis and development of manufacturable solutions from concept to series release.
• Proven CAD packaging and layout creation using CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of design and manufacturing of sheetmetal and plastic parts.
• Extensive knowledge of design release systems.
• Knowledge of automotive standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; ability to lead and mentor.
• Knowledge of BMW work environments is advantageous (PRISMA, NextOne, PQM, IRAM)
• Business fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Endurance to work with high workloads and precise methodologies.
• Knowledge of BMW data related to the entire vehicle development process.
• Manage process chain teams including problem analysis and development of manufacturable solutions from concept to series release for Seating System Parts (Structure, Trim & Foam).
• If design changes are required: Implementation of the components (Trim & Foam) changes in CATIA, execution of the change management process up to the release of the CA models in the BMW systems.
• Deep expertise CAD - CATIA V5 design concept 2D / 3D / Mockup.
• In daily work, you will be in a global and interdisciplinary environment with an agile mindset.

What should you bring along

• Min. 5 years of experience in automotive industry in these Seating System parts (Structure, Trim & Foam) or equivalent qualification as CAD technician with relevant experience .
• Experience and deepen knowledge problem analysis and development of manufacturable solutions from concept to series release for the respective components (Structure, Trim & Foam) scope .
• Proven experience with CAD packaging,layout creation using CATIA V5 .
• Knowledge about Design, Manufacturing of sheetmetal, plastic parts .
