Job summary

A leading engineering consulting firm in Gurugram is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with extensive experience in drainage and water network design. Responsibilities include managing complex infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires a BE/B. Tech in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of related experience. Familiarity with Danish design standards and software tools is desirable. Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in drainage and water network design, preferably in the Danish market.
• Understanding of wet utilities design for large residential developments and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Danish design standards and relevant software is preferred.

Job Description

• Independently manage complex infrastructure projects: Oversee Roads, Rails, and Land development projects while ensuring timely and quality delivery.
• Development of base models: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop accurate and efficient base models.
• Technical leadership and mentoring: Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their development and enhancing overall team capabilities.
• Storm network planning: Conduct demand assessments, hydraulic modeling, and design of proposed infrastructure with a focus on storm network planning.
• Future network planning: Plan future networks and integrate them with existing infrastructure through optioneering and strategic planning.
• Documentation and reporting: Prepare technical reports, memos, and presentations, ensuring clear communication of project status and findings.
• Coordination with project teams: Work closely with Project Managers, Assistant Engineers, Technical Managers, and global counterparts to deliver design calculations and drawings.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (roads, structures, rail, environment) for a clash-free, compliant design.
• Familiarity with Danish standards and tools: Preferably have experience with Danish design standards and tools such as OpenRoads Designer – Drainage & Utility, VejVand, DanDasGraf, MicroStation, and SewerGEMS.

Qualifications

• BE/B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute, with an ME/M. Tech in Hydraulics/Environmental/Water resources as a key advantage.
• At least 10 years of experience in drainage design, sewer design, and potable & non-potable (e.g., Firefighting, Irrigation) water network design, preferably in the Danish market.
• Knowledge of design codes such as DS/EN guidelines, VD guidelines, DMRB/Euro Codes/CIRIA/ & Indian codes.
• Understanding principles of wet utilities design for large residential developments, roads, airports, and rail environments. Experience in big infrastructure projects is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with design & modeling software like Bentley OpenRoads, SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, Scalgo, DanDas Graf, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cohesively within a team to ensure timely project delivery.
• Professional English language skills (written and verbal) are desirable.
