Job summary

HYOS-L&T Energy Hydrocarbon invites senior electrical engineers to lead design and analysis of power systems for onshore projects in India. The role focuses on generation, transmission and distribution studies with emphasis on robust protection schemes.

The ideal candidate has 15–25 years of experience, proficiency in ETAP and PSCAD, and readiness to travel to project sites and client offices as required to deliver technical solutions and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or Technology required.
• 15–25 years of experience in electrical power systems.
• Experience with GCC countries or client-facing reports desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical power systems including generation, transmission and distribution.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, transient stability, harmonic, and EMC analyses.
• Size CT/PT and coordinate protection schemes; conduct relay studies.
• Collect data, model, analyze and prepare technical reports for clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews.
• Participate in client meetings and project planning; travel as required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct design and analysis of electrical power systems, including generation, transmission and distribution. Experience in GCC countries would be an added advantage.
• Perform electrical system studies including but not limited to
• Load Flow Analysis
• Short Circuit Analysis
• Motor Starting Studies
• Transient Stability Analysis
• Harmonic Analysis
• Relay Setting & Coordination
• CT/PT Sizing
• Arc Flash Hazard Analysis
• Insulation coordination studies
• Switching Transient Analysis
• Power Factor Management studies
• EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Studies
• Conduct data collection, modelling, analysis and interpretation to support project requirements.
• Independently prepare technical reports, presentations to clients and other stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and client use
• Conduct technical reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in client meetings, technical reviews, and project planning
• Experience with client/ PMC like ADNOC, PDO, Saudi Aramco, EIL is preferred.
• Candidates should be flexible to travel long term /short term to various project sites and client / consultant offices based on the project requirement for document approval and resolution of site technical issues during execution.
• Advance proficiency in power systems analysis software ETAP, PSCAD and other related tools with connection study experience.
