Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Limited in Vadodara seeks an Area Lead Designer - Electrical for Plant and Building layouts. You will lead electrical design activities, develop layouts, GA drawings, ensure compliance with codes, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires 10-15 years of experience in EPC projects, proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D tools, knowledge of IEC/IEEE/NEC, and a track record of timely, quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Lead electrical plant and building layout design activities for assigned project areas.
• Develop and review electrical layouts including substations, equipment rooms, cable routing, and lighting layouts.
• Prepare and check GA drawings, section drawings, and detailed layout drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, civil & structural, and other disciplines for layout integration.
• Support 3D model reviews, constructability studies, and design optimization.
• Incorporate vendor data and design changes into layouts.
• Ensure accuracy of drawings, MTO support, and proper documentation control.
• Guide and supervise design teams to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
