Allwayn Controls is seeking a Lead Design Engineer for Industrial Valves & Valve Automation. The role focuses on designing and developing industrial valves, valve automation systems, and associated documentation to meet customer specifications and international standards.
You will work across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and procurement to advance product lifecycle, with emphasis on manufacturability, cost reduction, and reliability.

Reports To: Engineering Manager / Head Engineering
To design, develop, and improve industrial valves and valve automation systems in compliance with customer specifications, international standards, and company quality requirements. The Design Engineer is responsible for preparing engineering drawings, calculations, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation while supporting manufacturing, quality, procurement, and sales teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Ensure product designs comply with applicable international standards, including:
Prepare and maintain: Design calculations, Design verification reports, Material specifications, Technical datasheets, Valve datasheets, Manufacturing specifications, Inspection requirements, Design revision records, Engineering Change Notes (ECN), Design Change Requests (DCR)
Coordinate with: Sales & Application Engineering, Production, CNC Programming, Quality Assurance & Quality Control, Procurement, Planning, Vendor Development, Testing & Inspection, Customers and third-party inspection agencies
Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, testing, inspection, and customer FAT.
Valve design standards, Pressure class selection, Material standards (ASTM, ASME), Corrosion-resistant materials NACE requirements (where applicable), Fire-safe valve design, Fugitive emission requirements, Actuator sizing principles, Torque calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) basics (preferred)
On-time completion of engineering drawings, Accuracy of drawings and BOMs, Number of engineering revisions
First-pass manufacturing success rate, Design-related non-conformities, Product development lead time, Cost reduction through design optimization, Customer approval success rate, Technical support responsiveness
