Job summary

Quest Global Bengaluru is seeking a CFD Engineer to perform CFD and thermal analysis for mechanical systems, delivering actionable design insights. You will interpret results and communicate findings to stakeholders, contributing to product development.

The role involves developing and validating computational methods for fluid flow and heat transfer, scripting for automation, and collaborating with design and testing teams to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ to 8 years of experience in Aero/Thermal/CFD/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with commercial CFD software ANSYS CFD Suite (SpaceClaim/Fluent/CFX).
• Knowledge of flow analysis in power generation/oil & gas/aviation/rail domains.
• Ability to deliver CFD tasks with prescribed quality levels.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• To perform CFD and thermal analysis for mechanical systems and follow best practices for accurate computational efficiency. , interpret findings, and provide actionable insights and recommendations for system design improvements.
• Developing & validate computational methods to simulate fluid flow, heat transfer, and turbulence and analyzing the results to understand system behavior.
• Develop scripts for automation, improve simulation accuracy, and contribute to new CFD analysis methods.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate CFD findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Take part in technical design reviews and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with design and development teams to integrate CFD analysis results into the product development process.
• To provide effective design solutions to optimize product functionality, reliability and stability. Partner with testing team in developing and executing design verification plans and mechanical testing methods.
• Adherence to Quest Global process compliance and demonstration of QuEST Core values and thereby add value to Customer.
• Work in good collaboration with global and local teams at Quest and Customers premises and be flexible to work in shifts.

Work Experience

• Expertise with commercial CFD software such as ANSYS –CFX/Fluent, ANSYS Mesher, ANSYS Spaceclaim , Workbench
• Knowledge and Experience in field of Flow analysis of Flow and Turbomachinery components in Power generation/oil & gas/Aviation/Rail Domains
• Hands on experience working on any of Steady state,Transient,Rotating machary , Congugate heat transfer,Mutiphase,FSI Simulations
• A strong understanding of advanced fluid dynamics,thermodynamics,Heat transfer principles, Familiarity to CAD software for model preparation.
• Ability to quick learn and deliver the CFD tasks with prescribed quality levels.
• Awareness of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, casting, forging and machining

Experience

3+ to 8 years of experience with in Master degree in Aero/Thermal//CFD/Mechanical Engineering.

Expertise in using ANSYS CFD Suite – Space claim, Fluent Mesher, Fluent /CFX solver
