Job summary

buildAhome is seeking a Lead Architect to head the architectural design team for premium residential villas and individual homes. You will steer concept development, space planning, layouts, elevations, and working drawings while ensuring design quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's degree is an added advantage.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in architectural design, preferably in residential construction, villas, and premium homes.
• Proven experience in leading architectural teams and managing multiple residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee concept development, space planning, architectural layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.
• Review and approve architectural drawings to ensure design accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable building regulations.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior design, estimation, procurement, and site execution teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Understand client requirements and translate them into innovative, functional, aesthetically appealing, and cost-effective designs.
• Manage design schedules, deliverables, and team productivity to ensure timely project completion.
• Conduct design reviews and site visits to monitor execution and resolve architectural and technical issues.
• Ensure effective coordination between design intent, construction feasibility, project budgets, and timelines.
• Guide, mentor, and support junior architects and designers, ensuring high-quality output and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate sustainable design practices, energy efficiency, and green building principles.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to address design changes and project requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, drawing revisions, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized institution; Master's degree is an added advantage.
• 712 years of relevant experience in architectural design, preferably in residential construction, villas, and premium individual homes.
• Proven experience in leading architectural teams and managing multiple residential projects.
