Job summary

Sobha Constructions is seeking an Architect with 5–6 years of professional experience to lead design for luxury villas and high-rise residential projects in Bengaluru. You will take projects from concept through detailed design, documentation, and site execution, coordinating across consultants and clients.

The role requires strong design and technical capabilities, proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D visualization tools, and the ability to manage multiple tasks to meet timelines on luxury residential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or M.Arch.
• 5–6 years of professional architectural experience.
• Hands-on villa and luxury residential design experience.
• Experience with high-rise residential or mixed-use projects.
• Proficient in architectural planning, DD, detailing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and related design software.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, 3D visualization tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and detailed designs for luxury villas, residential, and high-rise projects.
• Prepare concept plans, schematic designs, floor plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, interior consultants.
• Ensure designs are functional, aesthetically appropriate, and buildable.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors through the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits and provide design clarifications during construction.
• Review shop drawings and materials for compliance with designs.
• Assist with authority approval drawings and building regulations compliance.
• Participate in client meetings and design coordination discussions.
• Support project teams in resolving design and execution issues.

Project Experience: Villas / Luxury Residential / High-Rise Projects

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Architect with 5–6 years of professional experience and hands‑on exposure to villa design as well as high‑rise residential projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong design and technical capabilities, with experience in taking projects from concept development through detailed design, construction documentation, and site execution. The candidate should be comfortable working on both individual luxury villas and large-scale/high‑rise developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts and detailed designs for luxury villas, residential developments, and high-rise projects.
• Prepare and develop concept plans, schematic designs, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.
• Handle architectural design development from concept stage to construction and execution.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, interior, and other consultants.
• Ensure design solutions are functional, aesthetically appropriate, technically feasible, and aligned with client requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits and provide design clarification and technical solutions during construction.
• Review shop drawings, material selections, and construction details to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Assist with authority approval drawings and ensure compliance with applicable building regulations and development guidelines.
• Participate in client meetings, design presentations, and design coordination discussions.
• Support project teams in resolving design and execution-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or M.Arch
• 5–6 years of professional architectural experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience in villa / luxury residential design.
• Experience working on high‑rise residential or mixed‑use projects is required.
• Strong knowledge of architectural planning, design development, construction documentation, and detailing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other architectural design software.
• Working knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, 3D visualization softwares, or similar tools is preferred.
• Good understanding of construction materials, finishes, building systems, and architectural detailing.
• Ability to interpret structural and MEP requirements and coordinate effectively with consultants.
• Strong design, presentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet project timelines.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in luxury villas / high‑end residential projects.
• Exposure to high‑rise residential developments and large‑scale projects.
• Experience handling projects from concept design through working drawings and site execution.
• Experience in consultant and contractor coordination.
• Experience with façade design, architectural detailing, and construction‑stage coordination will be an added advantage.
