Job summary

Kamaths Ourtimes Icecreams Pvt Ltd (Natural Ice Cream) seeks a senior Architect to lead architectural design for stores, develop concepts, layouts and construction documentation. You will plan customer areas, back‑of‑house spaces, service zones and kitchen/utility layouts, balancing aesthetics, functionality, cost and constructability.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of professional architecture experience, with retail, F&B, hospitality or commercial projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch./M.Arch. or equivalent).
• Strong end-to-end delivery experience for fit-out projects.
• Ability to read, review and develop detailed architectural drawings.

Job description

• Lead architectural design for stores and develop design concepts, layouts, schematic designs, detailed drawing and construction documentation.
• Ensure effective planning of customer areas, back-of-house spaces, service areas, kitchen/utility zones, storage and operational requirements.
• Develop design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, customer experience, cost and constructability.
• Review architectural drawings, material specifications, details and mock-ups.
• Drive projects from concept stage through design development, tendering, construction and handover.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor design implementation and ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify design, technical and execution issues and provide timely solutions.
• Ensure quality standards and design intent are maintained throughout execution.
• Ensure timely preparation and review of GFC, working, detail and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with MEP, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, kitchen, signage, lighting and other specialist requirements.
• Review BOQs, specifications, material schedules and technical details.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, fire regulations, accessibility standards,

local authority requirements and statutory norms.

• Evaluate materials, finishes, construction methodologies and design alternatives from both aesthetic and commercial perspectives.
• Manage and coordinate with design consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, vendors and specialist agencies.
• Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, Finance and Business Development.

Qualification & Experience:

• 10–15 years of professional experience in architecture, with significant exposure to retail, F&B, hospitality, commercial or similar projects.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch./M.Arch. or equivalent).
• Strong experience in end-to-end delivery of retail/F&B projects.
• Should have handled multiple simultaneous fit-out projects.
• Excellent understanding of architectural planning, detailing, materials, finishes and construction methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of retail and F&B operational requirements.
• Strong site execution and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to read, review and develop detailed architectural and technical drawings.
• Should be able to travel frequently.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant design software will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, coordination and stakeholder management skills
