Job summary

TopRock Global Private Limited is seeking an experienced architectural drafter to prepare detailed floor plans, elevations and construction drawings for interior fit-out projects in mall and commercial settings.

You will develop drawings, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and produce 3D models and visual presentations to support design concepts and approvals.

Qualifications

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for preparing accurate and detailed architectural drawings, layouts, construction details and 3D visualizations for interior fit-out projects. The role involves supporting design development, coordinating with project stakeholders, ensuring drawing accuracy, and assisting in the smooth execution of projects in accordance with approved designs, specifications, building codes and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare accurate and detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, ceiling plans, furniture layouts and construction details for interior fit-out projects.
• Develop and modify drawings based on project requirements, site conditions, client inputs and design changes.
• Prepare drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant drafting software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Assist in developing design concepts, layouts and space planning based on client requirements and project objectives.
• Prepare 3D models, renderings, mood boards and visual presentations using SketchUp, 3ds Max or other relevant software.
• Ensure all drawings are prepared and maintained in accordance with approved design concepts, project standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct site visits to understand existing conditions, verify measurements and ensure that the execution is aligned with approved drawings.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and assist in resolving design or construction-related issues.
• Prepare and revise drawings based on client, consultant, contractor, mall management and authority feedback.
• Prepare necessary drawings and documentation for project submissions, approvals and statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, safety requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate with mall management and ensure compliance with mall-specific design guidelines, submission requirements and operational standards for fit-out projects.
• Support the preparation and submission of drawings to local authorities and regulatory bodies wherever required.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, submissions and approved documents throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of drawings as per project schedules and deadlines.
• Assist the project team in resolving technical and drafting-related issues during the execution stage.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to clarify drawing details, dimensions, materials and execution requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency and quality across all drawings and design documentation.
• Perform regular updates and revisions to drawings based on project progress and approved changes.
• Maintain organized drawing files, project documentation and revision records for future reference.
• Support the team in ensuring that projects are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max or similar design/drafting software.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings, construction details and interior fit-out drawings.
• Good knowledge of space planning, dimensions, materials and construction methods.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and meet project deadlines.
• Good understanding of building regulations, standards and approval processes.
• Ability to identify drawing/site discrepancies and provide practical solutions.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in architectural drafting, interior fit-out or construction projects will be preferred.
• Experience in mall, retail, commercial or interior fit-out projects will be an added advantage.
