The Lab Technician will conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests, assist in sample analysis, and ensure proper documentation and compliance with laboratory protocols. This requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collect, label, and process patient samples such as blood, urine, and other specimens.
• Perform routine laboratory tests in areas such as biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, and serology.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and analyzers.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control procedures.
• Record, analyze, and report test results in a timely manner.
• Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records as per SOPs.
• Follow infection control and biosafety protocols strictly.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of samples, reagents, and chemicals.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage laboratory consumables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
• Coordinate with doctors and clinical staff for test requirements and clarifications.
• Handle critical values and report abnormal results immediately.
• Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
• Assist in audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Dispose of biomedical waste as per regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with NABH and laboratory standards.
• Maintain equipment logs and ensure preventive maintenance.
• Assist in introduction and validation of new tests if required.

• Support senior lab staff and assist in training new team members.
