Job description

The Lab Technician will be responsible for sample collection, sample processing, laboratory testing, analyzer operation, quality control documentation, and reporting support in the laboratory department. This requires Diploma qualification, 1–2 years of experience, knowledge of routine laboratory testing, biosafety, and equipment handling. The candidate will help ensure accurate diagnostic results and timely laboratory services in Ahmedabad.

• Collect, receive, label, and process blood, urine, and other laboratory samples accurately.
• Perform routine laboratory tests in hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, and related areas.
• Operate analyzers, microscopes, centrifuges, and other diagnostic laboratory equipment.
• Verify patient details, sample quality, test requirements, and labeling accuracy before processing.
• Prepare reagents, controls, slides, and testing materials as per laboratory procedures.
• Maintain sample registers, test records, worksheets, equipment logs, and QC documentation.
• Report critical values, abnormal findings, sample errors, or test delays to seniors promptly.
• Follow laboratory safety, PPE, infection control, biomedical waste, and biosafety requirements.
• Support calibration, internal quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, sample collection staff, and reporting teams.
• Ensure timely processing of routine and urgent patient investigations.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of laboratory workstations and equipment.
• Handle laboratory consumables, reagents, and stock responsibly.
• Maintain confidentiality and data integrity of patient reports.
