Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Network L3 Support Engineer to manage complex routing and switching issues, coordinate incident resolution, and drive best practices across the network team.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco equipment, LAN/WAN architectures, and the ability to mentor junior engineers in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.

Qualifications

• Possess hands-on knowledge of configuring local and wide area network routing and switching technologies.
• Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst switches, Nexus, VLANs, STP, and VLAN trunking.
• Understanding of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and access points.
• Proficient in IP routing and switching.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex network problems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex issues and resolve per defined SLA.
• Lead major incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Work on problem tickets and implement preventive actions.
• Identify design issues and advise on best practices.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and support growth.
• Be available for 24x7 operations in a rotational shift.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency):

• Ability to configure and implement local and wide area network Routing and Switching technologies
• Switching: Cisco Catalyst Switches, Nexus, VLAN, STP, VLAN Trunking
• Understanding of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Access points
• IP routing and switching
• Perform analysis, diagnostics, and resolution of complex network problems, which may include coordination, installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

• Network L3 Support engineer should handle complex issue and resolve as per defined SLA.
• Lead Major Incidents and provide Root cause analysis
