Job summary

Idexcel is seeking an L1 Developer for TELECOM/WIRELESS with 2–8 years of hands-on experience in LTE/NR PHY, RF, and DSP. The role centers on designing and implementing PHY algorithms, MIMO/beamforming, and real-time embedded efforts in a fast-paced telecom environment.

The candidate will mentor high-performance L1 teams, optimize latency and throughput, and collaborate with RF, L2, and fronthaul subsystems to deliver robust 4G/5G solutions.

Qualifications

• 2-8 yrs of relevant experience in LTE/NR PHY, RF, DSP, and antennas.
• Strong expertise in modulation, coding (FEC/LDPC/Turbo), MIMO and beamforming.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, real time embedded systems, FPGA/ASIC/GPU based programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement LTE/NR PHY algorithms and procedures.
• Review and mentor high performance L1 teams towards delivery excellence.
• Optimize L1 for latency, throughput, and CPU/DSP/GPU/FPGA utilization.
• Interface with Radio/RF, L2, and fronthaul subsystems.
• Debug PHY issues using logs, IQ capture, and lab equipment.
• Drive large-scale 4G/5G L1 product development, sustenance and customer support.
