Job summary

FUZIXEL TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an experienced engineer to develop and debug 4G/5G L2 software using C/C++ and Python in Bengaluru. The role involves MAC/RLC/PDCP layers for LTE and 5G NR, plus design and optimize MAC scheduling for LTE eNB and 5G gNB.

You will analyze logs, PCAPs, and RF test results, collaborate across L1-L3 interfaces, and support interoperability testing with various UEs and core networks. Strong hands-on experience and senior delivery capability are valued.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in 4G/5G L2 software development.
• Experience with MAC scheduler development and optimization is highly preferred.
• For senior-level profiles, experience driving 4G/5G L2 development programs and delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug 4G/5G L2 software using C/C++ and Python.
• Work on MAC, RLC, and PDCP layers for LTE and 5G NR.
• Design, develop, optimize, and debug MAC scheduling algorithms for LTE eNB and 5G gNB.
• Work on segmentation/reassembly, retransmission, flow control, QoS, ciphering/integrity, and packet handling.
• Understand HARQ, TDD/FDD timing, uplink scheduling, DRX, Buffer Status Reports, and LCP.
• Optimize L2 performance for latency, throughput, retransmissions, fairness, QoS, and power saving.
• Analyze system logs, L2 traces, PCAPs, timing logs, and RF test results to identify and resolve issues.
• Work with L1/L2/L3 interfaces and understand 3GPP RAN architecture.
• Support interoperability testing across different UEs, chipsets, core networks, and network vendors.
• Work with protocol decoding and ASN.1 workflows.
