Indian Institute of Management Nagpur invites applications for Junior Executive – Regular (UR). The role centers on alumni relations, city chapter events, corporate relations, and placement support within a dynamic academic environment.
Candidates should have at least a graduation (Master’s degree preferred) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Proficiency in MS Office is essential; exposure to Canva, CRM/portal tools and social platforms is desirable.
Position: Junior Executive – Regular (UR)
Minimum 3 years of overall work experience, preferably in assisting Placements, Alumni affairs, Event management or related domains.
Hands-on experience working on the MS Office Suite. Related certification will be preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, multi-tasking abilities, organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Experience of working at IIMs/IITs/NITs or any other premier educational institution will be an added advantage.
Quick learners from varied domains who are passionate about administrative fields and are ready to learn and adapt to the new ecosystem are also encouraged to apply.
Ability to coordinate effectively with students, alumni, faculty, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Good written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with emails, calls, and WhatsApp groups.
Working knowledge of MS Office, Canva, social media platforms, and basic CRM/portal management.
Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, willing to travel, and comfortable working in a fast-paced academic environment.
The responsibilities are currently as follows, but will not be limited to these. As & when, based on the Institute’s requirements, the candidate will be assigned new/different job responsibilities.
A) Alumni Relations & Engagement
Coordinate alumni job postings and liaise with Alcom, Placecom, and recruiters.
Respond to alumni queries and support alumni data collection and database updates.
Manage the alumni portal in coordination with the vendor, including profile verification and regular content updates.
Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and administrative teams for alumni initiatives.
Support alumni engagement through LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other relevant platforms.
B) City Chapter Meets
Coordinate end-to-end arrangements for City Chapter Meets, including approvals, venues, logistics, travel, and budgets.
Coordinate with the Director, Deans, Faculty, Clubs/Committees, and alumni for agendas and speaker engagements.
Support the launch and execution of new City Chapters, including outreach, invitations, and logistics.
Coordinate the annual alumni meet, including invitations, registrations, student volunteers, branding, hospitality, and logistics.
Manage post-event follow-ups with alumni, faculty, and clubs/committees.
D) Corporate Relations & Placement Support
Maintain regular engagement with alumni working in corporates to strengthen relationships.
Support alumni-led recruiter outreach for Summer and Final Placements.
Maintain a database of alumni working in target companies and facil- ate relevant introductions.
Support the Placement team in achieving assigned placement targets.
E) MIS & Documentation
Maintain alumni databases, attendance records, feedback, event reports, and related documentation.
Support preparation of monthly MIS, dashboards, reports, and newsletters for CDS leadership.
Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on last date of application.
The selected candidate will be offered a Regular appointment at the appropriate pay level as per the 7th Pay Commission and in accordance with the norms of the Institute, with an initial probation period of 2 years. In addition, the perks & allowances will be paid as per the Institute’s norms.
The decision of the Appointing Authority will be final & abiding in this regard.
