Job summary

Dynoconv Engineering in Chennai, India seeks an experienced design engineer to drive new product development with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, delivering compliant CAD models, drawings, and documentation.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, manufacturability, cost and quality targets, perform GD&T and tolerance analyses, and support prototype testing and validation.

Strong communication and independent work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in new product development (NPD).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and simulation tools (FEA/CFD knowledge preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM, and DFA principles.
• Familiarity with international standards, certifications, compliance requirements.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation processes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize new product components and assemblies using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other CAD/CAE tools.

• Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical specifications, and engineering reports throughout the NPD process.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for DFM and DFA.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design practices, tools, and methodologies within the engineering team.
