Job summary

Flex is seeking a Junior Engineer - IT in Sriperumbudur to support ERP applications across manufacturing, planning, procurement, inventory and finance. You will work with business users, production, planning, finance and IT to keep ERP operations smooth and continuously improve processes.

You will handle day-to-day ERP support, data management, reporting and system enhancements, while participating in upgrades, integrations and testing.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in ERP support, business systems, or manufacturing IT environments.
• Experience with ERP / Infor LN.
• Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
• Understanding of production planning, procurement, warehousing and inventory management.
• Experience in report development and data analysis.
• Knowledge of ERP integrations and interfaces; basic ERP concepts and business processes.

Responsibilities

• ERP Application Support: Provide day-to-day support for ERP users; troubleshoot and resolve issues; monitor interfaces and system integrations; support incident, problem, and change management.
• Business Process Support: Analyze requirements and translate to functional solutions; support manufacturing, procurement, inventory, planning, logistics and finance processes within ERP; assist with process improvement and data accuracy.
• Development & Enhancements: Support ERP customizations, reports, forms, and interfaces; perform functional testing and UAT; assist in upgrades and new feature implementations; validate changes before production.
• Data Management: Maintain master data, generate reports, assist with data migration and corrections; ensure data integrity across systems.
• Documentation & Compliance: Prepare SOPs, functional specs, and user guides; support audit, SOX, and compliance; maintain change management docs.
• User Training & Coordination: Provide user training; coordinate with business teams, developers, and external vendors; participate in project meetings and implementations.

What a typical day looks like:

• Responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing ERP applications that facilitate manufacturing, supply chain, planning, procurement, inventory, and finance operations.
• Works closely with Business Users, Production, Planning, Finance, and IT teams to ensure smooth ERP operations and continuous process improvements.

ERP Application Support

• Provide day-to-day support for ERP users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve applications, transaction, and master data issues.
• Monitor ERP interfaces and system integrations.
• Support incident, problem, and change management activities

Business Process Support

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
• Support Manufacturing, Procurement, Inventory, Planning, Logistics, and Finance processes within ERP.
• Assist users in process improvement and system optimization initiatives.
• Ensure data accuracy and process compliance.

Development & Enhancements

• Support ERP customizations, reports, forms, and interfaces.
• Perform functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Assist in ERP upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations.
• Validate system changes before production deployment

Data Management

• Support master data maintenance and validation.
• Generate operational and management reports.
• Assist with data migration and data correction activities.
• Ensure data integrity across integrated systems.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, SOPs, and user guides.
• Support audit, SOX, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain proper change management documentation.

User Training & Coordination

• Provide user training and knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate with business teams, developers, and external vendors.
• Participate in project meetings and implementation activities.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Business Systems, or related field.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in ERP support, business systems, or manufacturing IT environments.
• Experience with ERP / Infor LN.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Understanding of production planning, procurement, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Experience in report development and data analysis.
• Knowledge of ERP integrations and interfaces.Basic understanding of ERP concepts and business processes.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, or Finance operations.
• SQL query and database fundamentals.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
