Flex is seeking a Senior Engineer - IT to support MES applications in Sriperumbudur. You will work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and IT to automate shop floor processes and drive system improvements, managing design, testing, deployment, and documentation.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and about 5+ years of related experience, with MES integration, Power BI/SSRS reporting, and solid SDLC knowledge. Health Insurance and PTO are offered.

Job Summary

What a typical day looks like:

• Responsible for supporting the MES application development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of new application and reporting solutions.
• Works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams to automate shop floor processes, improve system efficiency, and ensure uninterrupted production support.
• System Development & Implementation
  • Develop, build, test, and deploy applications.
  • Create and execute test plans.
• Technical Solution Design
  • Analyze business requirements and design technical solutions.
  • Prepare design proposals with cost and timeline considerations.
• Process & System Improvement
  • Recommend improvements for development and maintenance.
  • Support system upgrades and optimizations.
• Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare and maintain system documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with IT standards.
• Stakeholder Coordination
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Train users during implementation.
• Implementation & Support
  • Support deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure smooth system rollout in production
    

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires bachelor’s degree and have around 5 + years of relevant experience.
• Experience on handling MES applications and integration technologies
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing process, systems and traceability solutions and applications.
• Strong Knowledge and Experience on report developments in Power BI, SSRS and other tools
• Understanding of SDLC and manufacturing processes

• Ability to work independently and support projects
