Flex is seeking a Senior Manager – Industrial Engineering in Sriperumbudur, Chennai, to lead a team of engineers and technicians, establish work measurement standards, and optimize labor and equipment utilization. The role emphasizes cost analysis, financial planning, and process improvement across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years in Industrial Engineering, a related bachelor's degree, and preferably a Master's or MBA.

• Recommends methods to improve worker efficiency and reduce waste, including reorganizing workflows and equipment relocation.
• May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal skills; maintains stakeholder relationships.
• Ensures compliance with employment law and company practices; handles inquiries professionally.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Manager – Industrial Engineering located in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manages a team of engineers and technicians to establish work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocation work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
• May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
• Demonstrates functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates expertise in multiple areas and industry. Demonstrates proficient knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
• Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site. Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: typing, telephones, data entry, HR related and office software to include; word processing, spread sheets, and presentation packages.
• Must have a good knowledge of employment law and company practices, with excellent interpersonal

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires 15+ years of Industrial Engineering experience, including supervision.
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. A Master's or MBA degree is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
