Job summary

Flex is hiring an IT Engineer in Sriperumbudur to support and drive IT system development projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2+ years of related IT experience, including SQL server query building, applications, and report development.

You will troubleshoot issues, gather user requirements, and coordinate system implementations. You’ll also install, configure, and maintain information systems and hardware, while developing test schedules and user manuals, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 2+ years of related IT experience.
• Experience with SQL server query building, applications and report development.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates basic functional, technical and people/process management skills and customer relationship skills.
• Familiarity with office software including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.

Responsibilities

What a typical day looks like:

• Support the IT system development projects team for the business.
• Analyze, design, code, and test new systems and system enhancements in line with the deliverables of the IT projects.
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain most complex information systems and associated hardware, in accordance with technical specifications, so that the organization’s information systems function reliably.
• Working with the users to enable you to effectively gather their requirements and allow you to prepare detailed program specifications and then coordinate system implementation.
• Communicate with system users; and investigate, trouble-shoot, and resolve system problems so that user problems are resolved quickly and satisfactorily.
• Develop a testing schedule that fits around the business requirements as well as producing an applicable user manual.
• Provide training and help with bedding in any system development or enhancements made.
• May coach or provide guidance to lower-level support analysts.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in addition to 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience on SQL server query building, applications and report development.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates basic functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Demonstrates skills in functional/ technical area.
• Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, and office software to include word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation package and database systems.
