Job summary

Unison in Pune is seeking a Junior Engineer for an aerospace machining center. This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure to CNC machining and a path to grow within a dynamic team.

As a Junior Engineer, you will operate CNC machines, support basic programming, perform in-process inspections, and contribute to safety and 5S standards while maintaining production records. This role is ideal for a diploma holder eager to build aerospace machining experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering required.
• 2-3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Knowledge of operating at least one CNC machine (TMC/VMC/HMC) with Fanuc, Mazak or Siemens controllers.

Responsibilities

• Operating machine and meeting production plan, recording downtime, handover with router completion.
• Should NC program knowledge and its interpretation.
• Tool setting as per tool layout.
• Perform work per SOP/MOS (Machining work instructions).
• Reporting of non-conforming (Reject) parts through NC ticket.
• Perform in-process inspections using measurement instruments and inspection plan.
• Perform deburring and visual inspection for machined parts.
• Conduct RCCA for non-conforming characteristics.
• Basic troubleshooting of machining and cutting tools; record production data and maintain shift logs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and 5S standards.
• Work parallel on multiple activities like inspection/deburring while machine runs.
• Kaizen / concerns.

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Roles & Responsibilities

• Operating machine and meeting production plan ,recording proper downtime, handover to next station with proper router completion .
• Should NC program knowledge and its interpretation
• Tool setting as per Tool layout.
• Should be able to perform work as per SOP/ MOS (Machining work instructions)
• Reporting of non-confirming (Reject) part through NC ticket.
• Perform in-process inspections using measurement instruments and inspection plan.

Ideal Candidate

Required minimum L2 skill level operator for Aerospace Machining component and should be aware about concerns ,kaizens

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering
• Minimum 2-3 years of Experience in CNC machining
• Knowledge of operating minimum one machine ( TMC/VMC /HMC )with experience of controller (Fanuc/Mazak/siemens)

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic NC program knowledge and its interpretation
• Basics of Engineering drawings and GD&T .
• Basics of cutting tools and its nomenclature / interpretation
• Familiarity with MES for job tracking
• Safety (EHSRA , Heat Map , SOD ) training completion
• Quality ( 7 QC tools , gauges measurement method, CMM report interpretation.
• Basic knowledge of Lean tools (5S , Kaizen, Poka-Yoke)
