Job summary

GE Aerospace's Pune MMF site is seeking an experienced assembly technician for aerospace components. You will perform fabrication and fasteners assembly, validate against customer specs, and contribute to drawing-based process setup.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2-3 years in aviation tubes and ducts, with strong communication skills and a focus on safety and EHS practices on site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Validate customer specifications and ensure quality of own work.
• Establish riveting, insulation, inserts, links and clips assemblies.
• Evaluate drawings and provide inputs for assembly processes.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes and implement CAPA.
• Follow safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
• Create FAI prove outs and new MOS procedures.

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India's defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India's aerospace ecosystem.

Role Overview:

• Shall have experience in fabrication & fasteners assembly. Capable of validating and ensuring customer specification compliance, knowing GE, RR, Boeing requirements will be an added advantage.
• Shall have experience in assembly process. Capable of establishing different riveting, insulations, inserts, links, clips assemblies.
• Shall have experience in drawing evaluation and providing inputs essential for assembly process establishment.
• Ability to analyse defects, identify root causes and provide efficient solution and implement CAPA.
• Basic knowledge of stainless steel and Inconel tube and sheet fabrication in aviation industry.
• Working experience with GE Aviation P Specifications.
• Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
• Must be familiar with EHS practices inside workshop as well as on site.
• Responsible for FAI prove outs and creating new assembly procedures/MOS's for the same.

• Candidate with an experience of fabrication & fasteners assembly.

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma in mechanical engineering with minimum of 2-3 years' experience in Aviation Tubes and Ducts, Fabrication Industry and aerospace assembly components.
• Should have good communication and interpersonal skill.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in PDC Problem solving tools
