Job summary

Unison is seeking an experienced welder-fabricator at our Pune facility to join the GE Aerospace manufacturing team. The role focuses on metal forming, welding tubular manifolds, and sheet metal assemblies with TIG and orbital welding.

You will read complex drawings and work within strict quality standards to ensure safety, output, and productivity. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma with 4+ years in welding/fabrication, AWS D17.1 6G certification for II A & III B materials, and experience with

Qualifications

• Diploma with 4+ years in welding and fabrication.
• Certified AWS D17.1 in 6G with II A & III B materials.
• Experience producing X ray quality Class B welds on SS 321 & Inconel 625 (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Weld tubes, air manifolds and sheet metal parts using TIG and orbital welding.
• Read and interpret drawings, manuals, SOPs to ensure correct finish.
• Assemble welded products and perform fixture checks.
• Train other welders and mentor in welding/fabrication.
• Multiskill across welding and fabrication cells.

Job Description

Role Overview:

• Welding of tubes, air manifolds and sheet metal parts.
• Welding of stainless steel, Inconel material.
• Repair of defective stainless steel and Inconel castings.
• Welding and fabrication by using TIG and Orbital welding processes.
• Ability to read, understand, analyse and interpret drawings, manuals, SOP, MOS and other material to determine finish product.
• Assembly of welded products.
• Shall have multiskilling of welding and fabrication of all parts in the cell
• Shall have familiar with problem solving tools 5Why, Fishbone and know how’s of RCA
• Shall have ability to train other welders
• Hands on experience on Assy manifolds, Marking and fixture check operations.

The Ideal Candidate

• Candidate with min 4 years of experience in welding and fabrication

Required Qualifications

• Diploma with minimum 4 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
• Shall be certified in welding process as per AWS D17.1 in 6G position with II A & III B materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Shall have experience to produce X ray quality Class B weld joints, with SS 321 & Inconel 625 material.
