Job summary

ESAB India in India is seeking a Design Engineer to develop and modify 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks, Creo and AutoCAD, and to manage design projects with minimal supervision.

You will support prototype development, participate in the full design and development lifecycle from concept to production, coordinate with manufacturing, quality and testing teams, and ensure documentation traceability and compliance with internal procedures.

Qualifications

• Develop and modify 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks, Creo and AutoCAD.
• Maintain design development documentation and traceability.
• Participate in the complete Design & Development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Support prototype development, testing, and design iterations with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and modify 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks, Creo and AutoCAD; Handle assigned design projects independently with minimal supervision; Prepare and maintain design & development documentation; Participate in the complete Design & Development lifecycle (concept to production); Support prototype development, testing, and design iterations; Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and testing teams; Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable standards; Implement design changes based on verification and validation feedback; Maintain drawing revisions, BOMs, and document traceability

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo (3D modeling and assemblies); Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting); Understanding of design documentation and engineering drawings; Basic knowledge of design control processes; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Attention to detail and documentation accuracy; Ability to work independently on assigned projects
