Job summary

PhantomFX is seeking a Junior Data I/O Artist to support the smooth movement, management, and availability of project data and assets across internal teams and external stakeholders. This entry-level role is suited to candidates who have an interest in VFX production, data management, and technical operations.

Coordinate transfers, maintain file structures, and assist with archiving while ensuring data security and confidentiality in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in data handling.
• Basic understanding of VFX or post-production workflows.
• Proficient in file management and data-transfer processes.
• Good computer and technical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and data-handling discipline.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to VFX production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support client sends, downloads, uploads, and data transfers.
• Assist with data archiving and restoration as required.
• Maintain proper file structures and naming conventions.
• Track data transfers and the allocation of physical media/drives.
• Coordinate with Artists, Production, Editorial, and IT teams.
• Follow company and client data-security and confidentiality requirements.
