Job summary

RDP Technologies Limited in Hyderabad is seeking a Jr. Inside Hardware Support Engineer to be the technical voice for customers across India, helping troubleshoot and resolve issues with PCs, AIOs, laptops, thin clients, and accessories from our Nacharam HQ.

This is an inside/telephonic support role. You will diagnose hardware faults, guide firmware updates, document interactions in Odoo Helpdesk, and escalate complex cases to field engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in IT hardware inside support (telephonic/remote).
• Proficient in Windows and Linux OS, BIOS, drivers.
• Experience with ticketing and log-keeping in helpdesk systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and remote hardware support for government, enterprise, and partners.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot desktops, AIOs, laptops, thin clients, displays, and peripherals.
• Walk customers through firmware updates, BIOS settings, driver installations, and basic OS configuration.
• Log every interaction in the Odoo Helpdesk with clear notes and resolution steps.
• Escalate complex issues to field engineering with complete diagnostic context.
• Build deep product knowledge across the RDP portfolio — Desk PC, AIO, Sprint, Rock, ThinPad, Edge PC, Remote PC.

About the Role

About the role

As a Jr. Inside Hardware Support Engineer at RDP, you will be the technical voice on the other end of the line for our customers across India — helping them troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with RDP PCs, AIOs, laptops, thin clients, and accessories. This is an inside / telephonic support role at our Nacharam HQ.

What you'll do

• Provide telephonic and remote hardware support to RDP customers — government, enterprise, and channel partners
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with desktops, AIOs, laptops, thin clients, displays, and peripherals
• Walk customers through firmware updates, BIOS settings, driver installations, and basic OS configuration
• Log every interaction in the Odoo Helpdesk ticket system with clear notes and resolution steps
• Escalate complex issues to field engineering with complete diagnostic context
• Build deep product knowledge across the RDP portfolio — Desk PC, AIO, Sprint, Rock, ThinPad, Edge PC, Remote PC

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of IT hardware inside support experience — telephonic / remote, not field
• Strong fundamentals — Windows / Linux OS, BIOS, drivers, networking basics, common hardware faults
• Calm, clear telephone manner — good English plus at least one Indian language (Telugu / Hindi / Tamil preferred)
• Discipline with ticket logging — every call documented, every action traceable
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in CS / IT / EEE / ECE preferred but not mandatory if experience is solid

• Shift: Standard business hours (9 AM – 6 PM IST)
• Reports to: Helpdesk Manager
