Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatches as per production and sales schedules.
• Arrange vehicles for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Monitor vehicle movement and ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow up with transporters regarding shipment status.
• Resolve transportation-related issues promptly.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel for loading and unloading activities.
• Ensure materials are dispatched as per FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable.
• Verify quantity and condition of materials before dispatch.
• Support inventory movement between warehouses and production units.
• Prepare and maintain dispatch documents, delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, LR copies, and transport records.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and filing systems.
• Ensure all statutory logistics documentation is complete and compliant.
• Liaise with transporters for vehicle availability and freight negotiations (as directed).
• Maintain transporter performance records.
• Coordinate with external logistics service providers for smooth operations.
• Assist in monitoring inventory movement and stock transfers.
• Report discrepancies in received or dispatched materials.
• Coordinate with stores and production departments for material requirements.
• Update daily dispatch reports.
• Maintain logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery, vehicle utilization, freight costs, and dispatch status.
• Prepare weekly and monthly logistics reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
• Follow safety procedures during loading and unloading activities.
• Report accidents, delays, damages, or shortages immediately.
