Job summary

Tata Communications is seeking a telecom network engineering professional to drive day-to-day system and service operations for fibre services. The role involves GIS-based design and as-built activities, ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes across projects.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of telecom architectures and GIS tools, with experience coordinating with on-shore and off-shore stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CAPEX & OPEX calculations for fibre planning.

Responsibilities

• Drive day-to-day system and service engineering and operations.
• Plan, design and as-built fibre assets in GIS. Provide guidance to ensure quality outcomes.
• Monitor network surveying/design activities by Build Partner.
• Participate in internal and external meetings.
• Resolve issues affecting project scope, quality, risk or timeline.
• Prepare high-level design documents: scope, splicing schematic, civil and cable plans for partners.

Key Responsible

• Responsible for driving day to day system and service engineering and operations.
• This is an operational role within Fibre services to Plan, Design and As built the Fibre assets in GIS tools that may seek appropriate level of guidance and advice to ensure delivery of quality outcomes.
• Monitor and ensure proper completion of network surveying/design activities by Build Partner.
• Active Participate in both Internal and External Meeting.
• Resolve issues affecting projects scope, quality, risk, and timeline Skills Required Candidate Should have strong knowledge on Telecom Network architecture and their components.
• CAPEX & OPEX calculations for better fibre planning. Candidate should have detail knowledge in GIS Network applications Small World, MicroStation, Arc GIS & BT Open reach Portal.
• Cost benefit analysis of the projects including feasibility studies.
• Candidate should have good Communication skills to have different level of conversations with the on-shore / Off-shore stake holders.
• To Prepare the High-Level design document by providing Scope of work, Splicing schematic, civil and cable plan etc to build partner for implementation.
• To Capture the Low-Level design in GIS Applications.
