Jain Tools And Dies is seeking a Vendor Development professional to identify and evaluate suppliers, build a reliable supplier base, and manage the end-to-end procurement cycle from RFQ to PO. The role emphasizes cost negotiation and cross-functional coordination in a manufacturing setting.

The candidate should have a mechanical engineering background (Diploma/B.E./B.Tech) with experience in automotive or engineering manufacturing, plus willingness to travel for supplier visits in the Gurugram

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering is required.
• Experience in automotive or engineering manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong vendor development and supplier management capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Identifying potential suppliers and performing initial assessment and ongoing evaluation.
• Maintain supplier base to obtain best quality and cost, manage purchase activities.
• Convert purchase requests into purchase orders and arrange quotations to release orders.
• Follow up on material with suppliers to meet targets; negotiate terms and drive cost reductions.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, tool room, quality, store and accounts departments.

Job Description for Vendor Development

• Identifying potential suppliers, Initial Assessment & periodic evaluation of supplier.
• Selecting supplier base to acquire best quality and cost of use of new suppliers or working with

current suppliers,

• Responsible for purchase activities.
• Maintain document filling.
• Procure purchase requisition items.
• Conversion of purchase request to purchase order.
• Arrange quotation to release purchase order.
• Material follow-up with suppliers to meet target.
• Negotiation with supplier.
• Co-ordination with production, Maintenance, Tool Room, Quality, Store &Account Depart.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of vendor development and supplier management.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC/VMC machining, fabrication, casting, Plastic and sheet metal.
• Experience in RFQ, cost negotiation and should-cost analysis.
• Strong negotiation, communication and vendor-handling skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel .
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits.

Qualification

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in automotive or engineering manufacturing.
• Candidates with an existing supplier network in Gurugram/Manesar, Bawal, Dharuhera, Faridabad and NCR will be preferred.
• Strong experience in developing new vendors and reducing procurement cost.
