Job summary

Medha Servo Drives in Hyderabad seeks a Vendor Development/Procurement professional with 5-15 years of experience to lead supplier development, qualify alternate sources for critical components, and coordinate with design, production and quality teams to meet manufacturing schedules.

You will negotiate pricing and delivery, issue POs, monitor supplier performance, and ensure adherence to GST/Incoterms and ISO quality practices. SAP proficiency is advantageous for procurement workflows.

Job description

Position: Vendor Development/Procurement

Experience: 5-15 Years

Educational Qualification: B.Tech (Mech)

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Development & Knowledge in Mfg, Should be expert in developing components in Machine tools/Auto / Fabrication areas.
• Should have good knowledge on Casting, Forging Components, fabricated parts, machined components, sheet metal parts, fasteners, bearings, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatic items.
• Experience in manufacturing/automotive industry, quality evaluation of suppliers, quality development of supply chain management, working in SAP information system is an advantage.
• Develop new vendors and qualify alternate sources for critical components.
• Coordinate with design, production, quality, stores, and planning teams to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Ensure procurement complies with company policies and quality standards.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Prepare comparative statements and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely material availability.
• Resolve supply issues and expedite delayed deliveries.

Preferred Knowledge

• Manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, casting, forging, sheet metal, heat treatment, and surface coating.
• Technical drawing interpretation and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Knowledge of Incoterms, GST, and commercial procurement practices.
• Exposure to ISO quality systems and supplier audits.
