Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Mumbai is seeking a Production Support Engineer (L2-L3) with 3-5 years of hands-on experience. The role focuses on maintaining J2EE/Microservices based applications using Spring/Spring Boot, with strong Java and SQL skills.

You will provide Tier-2/3 support, perform incident triage, monitor health and logs, collaborate with development teams on fixes, and drive automation for stability. BFSI domain exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java and J2EE with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience in L2-L3 production support and incident handling.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and queries.
• Exposure to BFSI domain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for J2EE and Microservices applications.
• Triage incidents, analyze impact, and resolve within SLAs.
• Monitor health, alerts, batch jobs, and service availability.
• Analyze logs from application, API, and middleware.
• Perform data analysis using Oracle and DB2.
• Support production releases and configuration changes.
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Debug J2EE and Microservices components with development teams.
• Collaborate with developers on code fixes and performance improvements.
• Analyze database performance issues including locks and slow queries.
• Support Sev-1 and Sev-2 incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Drive automation and monitoring for stability; mentor L2 team.

L2 Production Support Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for J2EE and Microservices applications
• Perform incident triage, impact analysis, and resolution within SLAs
• Monitor application health, alerts, batch jobs, and services
• Analyze application, API, and middleware logs
• Perform data analysis using Oracle and DB2
• Support production releases and configuration changes

L3 Production Support Responsibilities
