Job summary

Forward Eye Technologies is seeking a senior backend engineer who will significantly contribute to the code base and directly lead and mentor other developers. The role demands ownership of the technical success of the project, with strong focus on microservices, API design, and cloud-native delivery.

You will work with Java 8+ and Spring Boot, implementing microservices, validating security aspects, and driving CI/CD in a Kubernetes environment. Prior experience with GCP preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java 8+ and Spring modules (AOP, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA).
• Hands-on microservice implementations and API design patterns.
• Experience with GitHub/Jenkins for code management and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes in GCP environments preferred.
• Understanding of OAuth2.0/OIDC for microservices authorization.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery models and CI/CD pipelines.

Expected to be a significant individual contributor to the code base.

Directly lead and mentor other developers in the team.

Ultimately responsible for the technical success of the project.

Mandatory Skills

• Spring boot, Restful WebServices, Java, Microservices, containerised APIs, GCP (preferred), low level design, test automation.
• Experience with GCP Containerized APIs ( Cloud agnostic ) with Development & deployment
• Microservices authorization experience using OAuth2.0, OIDC
• Must have hands on experience in Microservice implementation
• Good exposure on the Design and well versed with Design patterns for API/Microservices
• Hands on with Java 8.0 and above, Multithreading and Spring modules - AOP (Aspect Oriented Programming), Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA etc.
• Should have practical experience with troubleshooting performance, security aspects for Microservices for the Production environment
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
• An understanding of project delivery models like Agile etc
• Preferred experience with Docker and Kubernetes in GCP
• Security related authZ and API ingeration
• Jenkins, Github for code repository and management
