Job summary

Forward Eye Technologies is seeking a senior Java developer to lead and mentor a team, owning the technical direction of complex microservice-based projects. The role requires hands-on implementation, API design, and strong focus on performance and security in production environments.

You will work with Spring Boot, RESTful services, and cloud deployments on GCP, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for containerized APIs, and implementing secure OAuth2/OIDC authentication within a fast-paced Agile

Qualifications

• Significant individual contributor to codebase and lead a dev team.
• Hands-on with Microservice implementation and API design.
• Experience with GCP Containerized APIs and cloud deployments.
• OAuth2.0/OIDC authorization experience and API security.
• Knowledge of design patterns, performance & security considerations in production.

Expected to be a significant individual contributor to the code base.

Directly lead and mentor other developers in the team.

Ultimately responsible for the technical success of the project.

Mandatory Skills

• Spring boot, Restful WebServices, Java, Microservices, containerised APIs, GCP (preferred), low level design, test automation.
• Experience with GCP Containerized APIs ( Cloud agnostic ) with Development & deployment
• Microservices authorization experience using OAuth2.0, OIDC
• Must have hands on experience in Microservice implementation
• Good exposure on the Design and well versed with Design patterns for API/Microservices
• Hands on with Java 8.0 and above, Multithreading and Spring modules - AOP (Aspect Oriented Programming), Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA etc.
• Should have practical experience with troubleshooting performance, security aspects for Microservices for the Production environment
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
• An understanding of project delivery models like Agile etc
• Preferred experience with Docker and Kubernetes in GCP
• Security related authZ and API ingeration
• Jenkins, Github for code repository and management
