Job summary

Kalcon Communication is seeking a Field Technician / ITI Technician to support telecom infrastructure, FTTH/FTTX projects, and field installations. You will handle basic Wi‑Fi, networking, LAN/WAN, and CAT5e/CAT6 cabling while following safety practices on site.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, site surveys, and customer communication. This full‑time position offers hands‑on growth in fiber/telecom infrastructure with on‑site work in Pune district, India.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Wi‑Fi, Networking, LAN/WAN and TCP/IP.
• Basic knowledge of IP Address, DHCP, DNS and NAT.
• Router configuration: Configure common routers/ONTs and change SSID, password, channels, DHCP, etc.
• Wi‑Fi troubleshooting: Diagnose slow speed, weak signal, disconnections, interference, and no‑internet problems.
• Cabling: CAT5e/CAT6 cable installation, RJ45 termination, cable testing and basic fiber knowledge
• Site survey: Identify good AP locations, coverage problems and interference.
• Electrical/safety: Basic UPS, power and earthing checks and safe work practices.
• Customer handling: Explain the problem to customers, complete service reports and maintain installation records.
