Job summary

TeamLease is seeking a field-based fiber technician in Chennai to install, maintain and troubleshoot fiber broadband connections. You will perform cable laying, fiber splicing, and jointing, conduct basic fiber tests, and handle electrical work where needed in customer sites.

Eligible candidates include 10th/ITI/Diploma holders; freshers may apply for Wireman and Electrician tracks. Field travel, physical fitness, and safety-consciousness are important for this role.

Qualifications

• 10th/ITI/Diploma or technical qualification required.
• Freshers eligible for Wireman and Electrician roles.
• 12 years of relevant Fiber Splicer experience preferred.
• ITI Electrician candidates preferred for electrician roles.
• Basic knowledge of electrical work, wiring, fiber installation or troubleshooting.
• Willingness to work in a field-based technical role.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Two-wheeler/bike preferred for applicable field positions.
• Physically fit and willing to travel to field locations.
• Responsible, punctual, safety-conscious, and target-oriented.
