Job summary

Skylink Fibernet is seeking a Fiber Network Engineer to design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic network infrastructure. You will support FTTH and enterprise fiber networks, ensuring optimal performance and timely resolution of fiber-related issues.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor’s in a related field with 0–5 years of experience in ISP/Telecom. Strong knowledge of fiber optics, GPON, TCP/IP, and routing is essential; driving license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Networking, IT or related field.
• 0–5 years of experience in ISP, Telecom, or Fiber Network Operations.
• Strong knowledge of Fiber Optics, FTTH, GPON, OSP, and ISP network infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, OTDR, Power Meter, and fusion splicing equipment.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, and Switching concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic network infrastructure.
• Perform fiber cable laying, splicing, termination, and testing activities.
• Conduct OTDR testing, power measurements, and fault localization.
• Support FTTH, GPON, and enterprise fiber network deployments.
• Monitor network performance and resolve fiber-related outages.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare network deployment plans.
• Coordinate with field teams, NOC, and contractors for project execution.
• Maintain network documentation, fiber route maps, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Support network expansion and upgrade projects.
