Job summary

PwC Hyderabad invites an experienced Software Asset Management lead to design and govern SAM processes, tooling, and best practices across enterprise environments. The role focuses on managing licenses, vendor contracts, and discovery/inventory integrations with tools like Service SAMPro, Flexera, and SNOW, while mentoring teams and aligning with client goals.

The candidate should have deep ITAM/ITSM experience, with Big 4 exposure preferred, and drive value through optimization and risk

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale SAM frameworks at enterprise level.
• Designing and implementing SAM processes, tools, and operating model for license lifecycle management.
• Defining requirements as Product Owner for SAM tool implementations including integrations.
• Reviewing software contracts including enterprise agreements, subscriptions and support contracts.
• Developing and maintaining entitlement license positions for software publishers.
• Conducting SAM data validation and planning for renewals.
• Managing asset lifecycle processes and optimization opportunities.
• Understanding discovery and inventory tooling capabilities.
• Providing training and guidance on SAM processes and compliance.
• Broad IT Asset Management and ITSM experience; Big 4 experience preferred.

Demonstrates intimate-level abilities and/or a proven record of success with:

• Leading large scale Software Asset Management frameworks at Enterprise level
• Designing and implementing software asset management processes, tools, and operating model to effectively manage the lifecycle of software asset license compliance.
• Defining the requirements as a Product Owner for the implementation and managed service operation of Software Asset Management tools specifically Service SAMPro or Flexera or SNOW, including integrations with discovery sources.
• Reviewing and interpreting software contracts including enterprise agreements, subscriptions and , support contracts for top publishers
• Developing and maintaining entitlement license positions for software publishers
• Conducting SAM data validation and supporting planning and preparation for publisher renewals
• Managing hardware and software asset lifecycle processes and identify opportunities for optimization, savings, and risk mitigation.
• Understanding of discovery and inventory tooling capabilities
• Ability to provide experience and guidance to Application Rationalization
• Act as a subject matter expert and provide training, coaching, and support to team members and stakeholders on SAM processes, tools, and compliance requirements.
• Broad IT Asset Management and ITSM experience
• Big 4 experience is preferred.
