Job summary

Amazon is seeking Ops Tech IT Support Engineers to assist the operations team by resolving technical problems across Fulfillment, Sortation, and Last Mile sites. This role is the first level of IT support for Amazon Sites and represents the IT department to internal customers.

Responsibilities include maintaining IT equipment, troubleshooting PCs, printers, and handheld devices, and coordinating RMA/repairs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of corporate IT operations support across Windows, Mac or Linux environments.
• Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems.
• CompTIA A+/Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), AWS, or other relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of IT equipment throughout fulfillment sites.
• Troubleshooting IT equipment (PCs, wireless handheld devices, printers, thin clients).
• Manage RMA and repair process for devices under warranty.
• Support Senior Engineers in daily projects and activities.
• Shift rotation: 5-day work week with off days varying by shift patterns.
• Travel to multiple buildings within the area and region as needed.
• Adhere to all safety procedures while performing work.

About The Role

Ops Tech IT Support Engineers will be responsible for utilizing their skills to provide assistance to the operations team in resolving technical problems within these sites that cover a multitude of technical disciplines. The IT Support Engineers position is the first level of support for the operations of the Amazon Sites and becomes the voice and face of the IT department to our customers.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintenance of IT equipment throughout the Fullfillment sites.


• Troubleshooting of all IT related equipment such as PCs, wireless handheld devices, thin clients, printers and other end user devices.


• Manage RMA and repair process for all devices under warranty.


• Support the Senior Engineers in daily projects and activities as directed.


• We have a 5-day work week but given the 7 days a week operation, the 2 scheduled days off will vary based on shift patterns and business needs.


• The position will require supporting of multiple buildings around the area and flexible to travel to sites with in the state /region.


• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work

Basic Qualifications

• - 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience


• - Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems


• - Experience maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals

Preferred Qualifications

• - CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certifications


• - Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
