Job summary

Petras is seeking a senior IT leader to head the COE IT department in a role that drives strategy, delivery, and talent acquisition across offshore teams. You will partner with the IT Director and HODs to plan and oversee critical IT projects, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing technology ecosystems.

The position requires deep SDLC, DevOps, and cloud security expertise, plus strong stakeholder management and experience with distributed teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading large development teams (80+ people).
• Experience setting up and scaling offshore IT teams.
• Experience in people management, talent retention and recruiting for offshore locations.
• Experience setting up and optimizing IT processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, DevOps, cloud technologies, and security best practices.
• Experience with modern architectures, microservices, CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, and familiarity with C#, .NET, Java, networking and security.
• Ability to coordinate with main office IT teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience working in distributed teams across time zones.
• Domain experience mandatory in Trading / Capital markets / wealth management.
• Exposure to Agentic AI / GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Experience in people management, talent retention, and ability to recruit and retain top talent in the offshore location.
• Experience in setting up and optimizing IT processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps, cloud technologies, and security best practices.
• Experience with modern architectures, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
• Outstanding knowledge of various IT systems
• Familiarity with technology stack such as C#, .NET, JAVA, Networking, Security.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with the main office IT team.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and drive effective collaboration.
• Experience working in distributed teams and managing time zone differences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle operational challenges.
• Domain Experience mandatory ( Trading / Capital market / wealth management)
• Exposure in Agentic AI / Github Copilot
