Job summary

Adani Group's Karaikal site seeks an IT leader to manage site IT operations, provide support across business units, and align with the IT roadmap to drive objectives.

The role focuses on deploying IT tools, ensuring 24x7 support, budgeting, governance, and security adherence while collaborating with business units to transform processes via IoT and AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or BE/BTech with 7–8 years managing IT services at a large site.
• Experience leading IT function for similar unit/site or small-scale organization.
• Experience in IT/OT Infrastructure for Ports and Logistics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to business IT strategy formulation and build the site IT roadmap from the site perspective.
• Execute strategic IT initiatives for the IT function at site level aligned with business requirements and priorities.
• Integrate IT and digital strategy to transform business processes using IoT, AI and other tech,
• Understand business expectations for site IT services, assess current IT functionalities, identify gaps, devise strategic plan to meet requirements.
• Manage 24x7 IT support and SLA adherence with external partners; establish 24x7 IT command and control.
• Prepare and manage the entire site IT budget; report to HOD.
• Design initiatives to raise awareness of IT services and communicate value to the business.
• Identify opportunities to enhance IT operations, security or governance at the site; propose improvements.
• Implement IT security governance in line with Adani procedures; ensure governance data is submitted timely.
• Manage asset inventory, ITO partner SLAs, escalations, vendor management and project delivery.

Job description

Purpose/Objective

• Responsible for managing the site IT operations and provide IT support & solutions to various business verticals, in line with business objectives and IT roadmap.
• To be responsible for deployment of latest IT tools and processes towards achievement of organization objectives in line with BU IT and group IT compliances.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• To contribute and partner in business IT strategy formulation and building business IT roadmap by providing inputs from site perspectives
• To execute strategic initiatives for IT function at site level aligned with business requirements and site priorities
• To understand our current business processes and integrate our IT and digital strategy for transforming our business processes using IOT, AI amongst many other technology drivers. Alignment with Technology and Analytics teams.
• To understand business expectations with respect to site IT services, assess current level of IT functionalities, identify and communicate gaps and scope of improvements to the business team; Devise a strategic plan to meet and deliver IT solutions and services in line with site related requirements.
• Manage 24X7 operation IT support and adheres to SLA with external partners. Establish and manage 24X7 IT Command and control facility.
• To prepare and finalize the entire site IT budget as per budget guidelines shared by the business IT Monitoring and control IT budget and provide regular updates to HOD
• To design and deploy initiatives raising awareness about IT services and solutions and communicating its value contribution to the business
• Identify opportunities for enhancement of IT operations, security or governance at the site and discuss the same with the business team. Help business team to prepare business cases and materialize the opportunities. Stay abreast of latest developments in the field of IT through engagement with partners, association with IT excellence bodies, IT research etc.
• Implement processes and systems for maintaining security of IT solutions and services in line with standard Adani operating procedures
• Implement governance systems and processes at the site in alignment to the governance framework. Timely submission of data asked by BU/Group governance team.
• Manage complete asset inventory and compliances, ITO partner SLAs and escalations. Vendor management and timely execution of all Infrastructure projects. Third party resource management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science BE / B Tech in any related discipline Minimum7to8 years of experience in managing IT services in a large site, preferably in a related industry (power, transmission, resources or logistics); Around 3-5 years of experience of leading the IT function for a similar unit/site / small-scale organization Experience of managing information technology projects Exposure to large-scale transformation and drivingchange at theteam / unit level.
• Experience in managing IT/OT Infrastructure for Ports and Logistics will be added advantage.
• Exposure to OT Security (SCADA, DCS) and automation technologies Sound exposure to IT security practices and managing secure operations
