Job summary

Medanta seeks an Assistant Manager IT Infrastructure Projects to oversee data centre build-outs, IT cabling, and IBS deployments across hospital campuses. You will coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and telecom teams to ensure timely handovers and compliant documentation.

Responsibilities include managing project timelines, preparing SLDs and layouts, supervising on-site installations, and ensuring robust IT/network integration with travel to greenfield and brownfield projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in server room/data centre build-outs and upgrades.
• Knowledge of power infrastructure: UPS sizing/redundancy, DG backup, PDUs, panels, earthing, load calculations.
• Knowledge of precision cooling systems: CRAC/CRAH units, containment, redundancy, temperature/humidity monitoring, Rodent Repellents.
• Knowledge fire suppression, access control, CCTV, and DCIM/BMS systems for server rooms.
• Supervise structured cabling (horizontal and backbone) across hospital buildings - fibre and copper, per TIA/EIA-568 standards.
• Knowledge cable pathways: trays, conduits, risers, patch panels, rack layouts, and labelling standards.
• Coordinate cabling for new builds, floor expansions, and department relocations.
• Coordinate IBS deployment - DAS, small cells/repeaters, and enterprise Wi-Fi infrastructure.
• Coordinate with telecom operators/OEMs for IBS design, site surveys, and RF planning.
• Ensure IBS/cellular coverage across critical zones (ICUs, basements, OT complexes, parking).
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and telecom contractors/OEMs for execution, and handover.
• Oversee project timelines and stakeholder communication.
• Prepare documentation: SLDs, cable schedules, RF/coverage layouts, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with active IT/network teams for equipment placement and handover.
• Support audits/inspections related to fire, electrical safety, and data centre standards.
• Maintaining and Managing IT inventory during Projects phase.
• Willing to travel and work on-site at upcoming greenfield/brownfield hospital and Clinics projects.
