Z Ventures is seeking an experienced IT Head with strong cyber security and network infrastructure expertise to lead the organization’s IT operations. The role focuses on building secure, scalable infrastructure and implementing robust cyber defenses to protect data and systems.

You will oversee IT infrastructure, security governance, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery planning while guiding a high-performing IT team to ensure exceptional service availability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/related field is required.
• Certifications in cybersecurity or networking are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT operations across servers, networks, storage, and end-user systems.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, standards and best practices.
• Monitor networks for vulnerabilities and mitigate security risks.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, EDR, and endpoint security.
• Ensure compliance with information security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead IT support operations and ensure timely issue resolution.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced IT Head with strong expertise in Cyber Security and Network Infrastructure to lead and manage the organization's IT operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable IT infrastructure while implementing robust cybersecurity strategies to protect organizational data and systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee the organization's complete IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and end-user systems.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
• Monitor network performance, identify vulnerabilities, and mitigate security risks.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and antivirus solutions.
• Ensure compliance with information security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead IT support operations, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
• Manage Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Windows/Linux servers, and virtualization environments.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, security audits, penetration testing coordination, and incident response.
• Plan disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) strategies.
• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, wireless controllers, and load balancers.
• Coordinate with external vendors for hardware, software, cloud services, and security solutions.
• Prepare IT budgets, procurement plans, and infrastructure upgrade roadmaps.
• Lead and mentor the IT team while ensuring high service availability.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks and Security Operations.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Firewall Administration (Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto, Cisco)
• Network Security
• VPN Configuration
• IDS / IPS
• SIEM Solutions
• Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
• Expertise in LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing & Switching.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, Exchange, and Windows Server Administration.
• Experience in Backup & Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Understanding of ISO 27001, GDPR, ITIL, or similar security frameworks is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant cybersecurity and networking certifications will be an added advantage.
