Job Title: IT Infrastructure & Cloud Support Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an IT Infrastructure & Cloud Support Engineer with hands‑on experience in firewall management, AWS cloud services, cloud storage monitoring, backup and recovery, network troubleshooting, and desktop support.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, security, data protection, and smooth day‑to‑day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Firewall Management
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewall rules, policies, NAT, port access, and network traffic.
- Manage and review firewall access rules based on business and security requirements.
- Monitor network connectivity, bandwidth, and security events.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and internet connectivity issues.
- Coordinate with network/security vendors for complex issues and infrastructure changes.
- Maintain proper documentation of firewall rules, network configurations, and changes.
AWS & Cloud Infrastructure
- Monitor and support AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
- Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, EBS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, and related services.
- Monitor EC2 instances, CPU, memory, storage utilization, and system availability.
- Monitor AWS S3/cloud storage capacity, usage, availability, and access.
- Assist in managing IAM users, roles, policies, and access permissions.
- Monitor AWS CloudWatch alerts and respond to infrastructure‑related issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting cloud connectivity and performance issues.
- Support cloud resource provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
Backup & Storage Management
- Monitor and manage server, cloud, and endpoint backup activities.
- Ensure scheduled backups are completed successfully and investigate backup failures.
- Monitor storage capacity and utilization and take preventive action when required.
- Perform periodic backup verification and restore testing.
- Maintain backup schedules, retention policies, and backup reports.
- Support data recovery activities during system failures or data‑loss incidents.
- Maintain proper documentation of backup and recovery procedures.
Desktop & End‑User Support
- Provide first‑ and second‑level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and business applications.
- Support Microsoft Office, Outlook, antivirus, VPN, and other standard applications.
- Configure new employee workstations, user accounts, email, and access permissions.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Support conference room equipment, video conferencing systems, and projectors.
IT Security & Monitoring
- Monitor endpoint security, antivirus/EDR status, and security alerts.
- Ensure systems comply with organizational IT security policies.
- Assist in patch management, security updates, and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitor critical IT infrastructure and proactively identify potential issues.
- Maintain logs and reports related to security, backup, infrastructure, and system availability.
IT Asset & Vendor Management
- Maintain inventory of laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, storage devices, peripherals, and software licenses.
- Track asset allocation, movement, warranty, repair, and replacement.
- Coordinate with hardware, network, cloud, firewall, and other IT vendors.
- Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, licenses, and AMC/warranty details.
Required Technical Skills
- Good hands‑on knowledge of Firewall administration and firewall rule management.
- Working knowledge of AWS Cloud services.
- Knowledge of AWS EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EBS, and CloudWatch.
- Experience in cloud storage monitoring and management.
- Good understanding of backup, restore, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi‑Fi.
- Knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 / Outlook / Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of antivirus/endpoint security solutions.
- Basic understanding of virtualization and server infrastructure will be an advantage.
- Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to monitor infrastructure proactively and respond to alerts/incidents.
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification
- CompTIA Network+ / Security+
- Firewall vendor certification will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc./BCA/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Experience
25 years of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure, Network Support, Cloud Support, System Administration, or a similar role.
Candidates with strong hands‑on experience in Firewall + AWS + Cloud Storage + Backup & Monitoring will be preferred.
