Role & responsibilities
Position Summary
The Network & IT Infrastructure Manager owns the availability, performance, and security of the corporate IT backboneincluding networks, servers, end-user devices, and associated services. The role combines hands-on technical depth (Firewall, Security, HP/Aruba/Netgear switching, Microsoft AD & M365), Managing small L1/L2 support team, and tight vendor / contract oversight. Success is measured by high system uptime, secure configurations, quick incident resolution, and well-executed upgrade projectsall communicated clearly to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Core Infrastructure -
- Manage on-prem and cloud email platforms (Exchange / Microsoft 365), including security, hygiene, and retention.
Network & Security -
- Operate Palo Alto NGFWs (policies, NAT, App-ID, GlobalProtect, threat prevention, high-availability).
- Monitor traffic, capacity, and security events; produce actionable reporting and RCA.
Server / Backup /DR -
- Maintain tested disaster-recovery runbooks and perform scheduled restores.
End-UserComputing -
- Ensure tight SLA-driven support for ~XX internal users.
Team & Vendor Leadership -
Mentor a small infra/service-desk team; define KPIs (MTTR, FCR, CSAT) and coach toward improvement.
- Own vendor relationships, contract renewals, and budget tracking for circuits, hardware, and SaaS.
Projects & Continuous Improvement -
- Champion automation (PowerShell, Ansible, API scripts) and document SOPs, diagrams.
Preferred candidate profile
Required Skills & Experience
- 5-7 years progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure operations, including at least 3 years in a lead/manager capacity.
- Proven, hands-on expertise with:
- Palo Alto or Cisco or any other firewalls (PAN-OS 10.x+, HA, Global Protect, App-ID, threat profiles).
- HP / Aruba / Netgear Comware & ProVision switching (layer-2/3, VLANs, STP, routing, ACLs, VSF/IRF) or Cisco switching
- Active Directory (incl. GPO design), Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online, Windows Server.
- Wi-Fi design, RF optimisation, and troubleshooting (Aruba, Cisco, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated vendor-management & negotiation skills (hardware, telco, MSP, SaaS).
- Excellent written & oral communicationable to create clear SOPs, diagrams, executive summaries, and present complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leading small teams, setting goals, and elevating service levels.
- OT application i.e Scada, Agilent etc Management
