Job summary

Gemini Solutions is seeking an Assistant Manager – IT with 8–12 years of experience to manage networks, clouds and servers with a strong security focus. This hands-on role involves monitoring, incident handling, security controls, and supporting the IT infra team in daily operations.

You will lead the IT team, drive incident response, manage SLAs, and coordinate with vendors while ensuring ISO 27001 and SOC2 alignment. Proficiency with Palo Alto firewalls, AWS/Azure, and Office 365 is required.

Qualifications

Job description

• We are looking for an Assistant Manager – IT, with 8 to 12 years of experience to manage our networks, clouds and servers with a strong focus on security. This is a hands-on role where you will handle monitoring and incidents, implement security controls, run small proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for new tools, and support the IT infra team in their day-to-day work.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership and Service Delivery: Support and lead IT team, set priorities, coach and run incidents, change and problem routines within SLAs. Partner with stakeholders and vendors, track budgets, optimize usage, and escalate risks early.
• Cybersecurity, NOC & Incident Operations: Run day-to-day infra and cybersecurity initiatives from a NOC/SOC point of view - monitoring, triage, escalation and closure within SLAs.
• Network and Security operations: Plan, operate and improve multi-site networks-switches, routers, content filtering and site interconnects. Administer Palo Alto firewalls, IPS/IDS, GlobalProtect user VPN and IPSec tunnels. Maintain NDR/EDR integrations and coordinate with SOC for monitoring and response.
• Cloud and Platform Management: Design and run secure, cost optimized AWS and Azure networks and workloads, including connectivity with on-prem.
• Proof of Concept (PoC) & Engineering Improvement: Own PoCs for new security and infra tools (EDR/NDR, SIEM, SASE/ZTNA, backup, monitoring, etc.) - evaluation, testing, documentation and recommendation.
• Standardize configurations, hardening baselines and deployment patterns across network, server, and cloud.
• Microsoft 365 and end user services: Administer Office 365, Entra ID, security, user life cycle, policy hygiene and escalations. Ensure smooth onboarding, remote support and resolution of advanced infra issues.
• Compliance, risk and security assurance: Uphold ISO 27001 and SOC2 and related frameworks where applicable-run periodic risk assessments and audits. Run periodic risk assessments on infra and security controls and track mitigation plans. Lead incident response and basic forensic investigation, document root causes and preventive actions.
• Engineering excellence and improvement: Standardize configurations, hardening baselines, and documentation. Track vulnerabilities and apply fixes, evaluate new tech to improve reliability. Security and performance.
• Reporting: Publish regular dashboards on service KPIs, security posture (incidents, vulnerabilities, compliance status), risks and costs. Present clear action plans and follow-ups to management.
• Deep understanding of network architecture, perimeter security, Wintel/server operations, and cloud networking/security.
• Strong grasp of security fundamentals: identity and access management, endpoint security, vulnerability management,
• logging, and monitoring.
• Comfortable owning PoCs and evaluations of new security/infra tools and converting them into stable BAU solutions.
• Clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and team leadership.
• High sense of ownership and dependability - able to operate calmly during incidents and drive issues to closure.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILL SETS

• Strong track record of running networks, servers and cloud at scale, including Office 365 administration.
• Hands on with Palo Alto firewalls and multi-site connectivity, incident handling and security monitoring.
• Certifications : Any mix of CCNP Security or equivalent, AWS/Azure certifications, CEH/CISSP
