Job summary

Harrow International School Bengaluru is seeking an IT Assistant/Executive to provide day-to-day technical support to staff, students, and school operations.

You will maintain IT infrastructure, support classroom technology, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and assist with school digital platforms and systems. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, strong customer service, and collaboration with teachers and IT staff.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows, MacOS, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with printers, projectors, interactive displays, and audiovisual systems.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service orientation.
  • Experience in a school or educational environment will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level IT support to staff and students.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, projectors, interactive panels, and other IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
  • Support classroom technology and audiovisual equipment during lessons, meetings, and school events.
  • Assist in the administration of school ERP, learning management systems, and educational technology platforms.
  • Maintain IT inventory, asset registers, and equipment records.
  • Support user account creation, password management, and access permissions.
  • Assist in monitoring network performance and reporting technical issues to the IT Manager.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, maintenance, and procurement of IT equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with school IT policies, cybersecurity guidelines, and data protection requirements.
  • Provide basic training and technical guidance to staff on digital tools and systems.
  • Support online assessments, admissions processes, and school events requiring technical assistance.
