Job summary

Purview Services is seeking an experienced IBM iSeries (AS/400) developer to design, build, and optimize applications using RPG, RPGLE, RPG IV, CL/CLLE, and SQL. You will work with DB2 for i, DDS, ILE concepts, and batch processing while supporting production systems and integrating with external APIs.

The role requires 6–9 years of hands-on IBM i development experience, debugging tools proficiency, and strong analytical and teamwork skills for migration, modernization, and ongoing maintenance

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience in IBM iSeries / AS400 development.
• Hands-on experience with RPGLE / RPG IV.
• Knowledge of CL/CLLE, DB2 for i, SQL, and IBM i.
• Experience with IBM i development tools and debugging utilities.
• Knowledge of DDS, ILE concepts, subfiles, job queues, and batch processing.
• Experience in application maintenance, production support, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the IBM iSeries / AS400 platform.

• Participate in migration, modernization, and application upgrade initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation, program specifications, and support procedures.
