Job summary

Purview Services in Lucknow, India, seeks an experienced IBM iSeries developer to design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS/400 platform. You will work with RPG programming, CL/CLLE, and DB2 for i to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires 6–9 years of hands-on experience, strong debugging skills, and the ability to collaborate with analysts and other developers on migration and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience in IBM iSeries / AS400 development.
• Strong hands-on experience with RPGLE / RPG IV.
• Good knowledge of CL/CLLE, DB2 for i, SQL, and IBM i.
• Experience with IBM i development tools and debugging utilities.
• Knowledge of DDS, ILE concepts, subfiles, job queues, and batch processing.
• Experience in application maintenance, production support, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the IBM iSeries / AS400 platform.
• Write and maintain programs using RPG / RPGLE / RPG IV.
• Develop and optimize applications using CL/CLLE and SQL.
• Work with DB2 for i for database design, queries, stored procedures, and data management.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
